Code of Conduct
House Rules

Also known as "House Rules," this Code of Conduct is expected for all guests of Virak Studio to understand and agree to prior to any studio rental, workshop or private lesson session.

 

Anyone who refuses any of the following may be asked to leave the premise without a refund:

Section 1

Respecting People

1A) Please respect staff.

This includes owners, contractors, etc. 

1B) Respect models.

 We have a strict NO-TOUCH policy. No one is permitted to make physical contact with the models. This includes fixing hair, adjusting wardrobe, etc. There is no reason for anyone to make physical contact with the model.
The only exceptions allowed: handshakes and models posing with other models.
Models are never expected to do anything outside of their personal comfort zone and may express such freely.

1C) Respect others in the room.

VIRAK STUDIO is a learning environment and we often have people of varying skills and abilities as well as personality types. We want to ensure no guest feels belittled, or uncomfortable in any way. 

Section 2

Respecting Property

2A) Don't touch what's not yours.

Do not remove any items not belonging to you from the premise. 

Do not touch other people's cameras, lenses or any equipment they may have brought without permission. 

2B) Food and Drink.

Keep drinks away from electronics.

Snacking is permitted but please discard trash in proper receptacles prior to leaving.
 

​2C) Take care of equipment.

Studio lighting is expensive and sensitive. Take special care when handling lights, softboxes and other equipment you need to manipulate.
Be careful when rearranging furniture and/or props.
If you have hesitations, please ask a staff member.

Section 3

Respecting Warehouse Rules

3A) VIRAK STUDIO is located in a warehouse

This location is not a playground. Please be mindful of neighboring businesses and avoid disruptive behaviors in the hallways, bathroom area and parking lot.

3b) Lude activity prohibited

Lude activity is defined as engaging in pornography, sexual acts, non-consensual behavior or drug use.. These are strictly prohibited, including under the guise of "art."

3C) Weapons.
Weapons to be used as props must first be granted permission for use. VIRAK STUDIO is a 2nd Amendment supporter. Permitted and responsible concealed carry is allowed by lawful and prudent citizens.

Section 4

Recording

4A) VIRAK STUDIO is under video surveillance 24 hours a day;

monitored off-site..

Security cameras are located inside and outside the studio as well as inside and outside of the warehouse.
 

4B) Video recording.

We often record our sessions to post on our online social media (Facebook, YouTube, etc.) and for promotional/marketing material in addition to surveillance. By entering the premises you agree that your likeness can be used freely for these purposes. If you do not feel comfortable being recorded, please inform us prior to purchasing a ticket and/or entering the premises. We can make reasonable accommodations to such requests.
